1. storyline missions - worth doing? - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
Yes, worth it for the reasons above. You can offset the low standings with respect to unfriendly factions by taking Diplomacy; 0.4 standings improvement to unfriendly factions/level. If a level III agent gives you a mission, it's a level III.

2. Mission question - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I'd guess that you're not hitting the foul and elusive enemy at all; are you webbing him? Webbers have different levels of effectiveness, you may need something better than a generic I or a Langour. If you're not webbed, try webbing it and moving ...

That database does not include Portal to War, which many seem to feel is the hardest Level III mission.

4. Mission or mining?? - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
Read the player guide. It is very helpful. I'd suggest both for several reasons. First, mining gets boring. Mission running will help build combat skills. Mission loot seems a bit better on average than belt rats' droppings. I'm assuming your...

5. Lev 3, Portal to war - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I had read in these forums that the 2nd part was difficult; so a very capable corpmate in a Raven joined me yesterday for my first time on this mission. I am flying Domi, compressed coil 250 rails, cap and 2 Barton rechargers, Langour webber, La...

Took me a while, but I think it's to give us containers to split our hangar stuff into when the 1,000 item/container limit goes into effect.

7. Level 2 Sabotaged - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I turn down missions to insecure space, although in Masalle there aren't many of those. But Sabotaged does not give you the final destinations until you have talked to the stranded fleet, so you don't know until then if one of the encounters is in...

9. 500 people local in Jita - we need nukes - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Here we are in an advanced civilization with jump gates, warp drives, tractor beams, and ftl communications, and nobody can deliver a lousy package out of station? If all the systems within two jumps of a hub had post offices where you could buy a...

I did it in a Brutix; I don't know if it is repeated at other levels; I did it as a II. I did not carry an armor rep, so warped out between blobs. In each case, the enemy was grouped in separate blobs; with careful positioning you can engage each ...

12. No subject - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
As an afterthought, to make 0.1 - 0.4 a better training area for 0.0, restrict PvPing in 0.3 and 0.4 to T1 cruisers, and to T1 battlecruisers in 0.1 and 0.2. There might be actual battles, much more educational than getting a 10 second ganking. ...

Stop Gate Ganking in 0.4 to 0.1. Gate ganking prevents a smooth transition from secure to increasingly insecure space. If 0.4 is as dangerous as 0.0 (or more so in some instances) that messes up the risk/reward equation. Without gate ganking, the ...

20. What is a carebear - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The opposite of a sociopath; believes in the strength of co-operative endeavor. Never a griefer or bully. Not a career path, or specific views. Many are PVPers, but usually as defenders and enforcers rather than individual pirates.
